okay so quick updates... the magnificent mile art festival in chicago this past weekend (july 11-13th) was a really great show! great artists, great crowds and great weather!!! we couldn't have asked for more perfect weather. big THANK YOU to all of the people who came out to support the original artists of the mag mile show - the promoters did a smashing job of promotion because the crowds were good throughout....
we had a nice spot next to some really FUN artists and right by the ENORMOUS king lear statue currently on display in pioneer court in downtown chicago where the show was held.
sorry for the shit photos... once again i forgot my camera and these are cell phone cam photos (ugggghhh.. i know, but better than nothing).
so i met some great new artists which is one of the things i enjoy most about the shows and all of them are so generous with sharing the info on which shows to do and all the other hints, tips and secrets of doing the outdoor art fests. and i had a good time visiting with another artists who i became friends with from the artist project show so we had some nice time to visit during this fest.
THANK YOU TO ALL OF MY CHICAGO COLLECTORS WHO CAME OUT TO VISIT WITH ME!!!!! big thank u to ron and carol for inviting us in to your home to see my work on display - VERY COOL!!!!
my niece went with me on sunday and we had a fun time shopping and spending the day goofing off. two of my larger abstract paintings that sold during mag mile were the last laugh and all or nothing. i think all of the artists that did the show were quite happy with the turn out. doing outdoor shows you never know what can happen with gas prices being ridiculous.. and never knowing when a storm can come up out of nowhere it is always a 'risk' but this years mag mile was even better than last year so THANK U to everyone who came out to support all of the talented self-representing artists!
we are on some waiting lists of a few upcoming shows we didn't know about and missed deadlines for so keep checking my news & events page for more shows i will be attending this summer!
